On the 4th we drove up to Bellingham to visit with Tyler's side of the family. The kids always have so much fun with their cousins.
Sophia loves to play with Josie.
Here are Jack and Issac, only two months apart, when they get together you better watch out!
After our patriotic photo shoot, we thought it would be fun to have lunch in Fairhaven, but of course nothing was open because it was the 4th of July. So we ended up at this great family restaurant called McDonald's.
Josie got to meet Ronald! This was the first year that we let the kids stay up to watch fireworks. Tyler's Aunt and Uncle Karl and Karla have a great home in the country and always put on a huge display. Jack really loved it, but after a while he decided it would be safest to watch under the table.

It was a little bit much for Josie though, she kept trying to fall asleep between the blasts. I am sure she will love it next year though. Thank you Karl and Karla for a wonderful time!
We decided to drive home that night (not the wisest plan)and didn't get home until after midnight. Although, along the way we did catch the fireworks from Bellingham Bay.
